Obituary of Helen M. Sharr

Oolitic Helen M. Sharr, 86, of Oolitic, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at her residence. Born February 23, 1928 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Wesley and Virginia (Raines) Wray. She married Bob Sharr on August 3, 1953 and he survives. She was a line worker at RCA and a clerk at Bobs Market in Oolitic. She was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Oolitic; two daughters, Jill Skillman and husband, Stan and Jane Grissom and husband, Mike, all of Oolitic; four grandchildren, Brian Skillman and wife, Trisha, of Bedford, Kim Lanham and husband, Matt, of Virginia, Mandy Green and husband, Chris, of Springville and John Grissom of Oolitic; a great grandson, Gavin Green; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
