Obituary of Eva J. Sasser

Bedford Eva J. Sasser, 91, of 768 Hayes Road, Bedford, died at 2:30 pm on Monday, October 13, 2003 at her residence. Born February 8, 1912 in Tateville, KY, she was the daughter of Samuel and Cordella (Lewis) Colyer. She married Cecil Sasser on November 20, 1929 and he died August 5, 1987. She was a homemaker and member of Oolitic Pentecostal Church. Survivors include one son, Alben Sasser and his wife, Jonna, of Bedford; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Goodman and Alma Arthur and her husband, Kenneth all of Bedford; four grandchildren, Melissa Hassler and her husband, Don; Tracy Greene and her husband, Jim; Scott Sasser and his wife, Angie and Adam Sasser and his wife, Dana all of Bedford; six grandchildren, Brooke Sasser, Angel Eva Goodman, John Cecil Wolff, Emily Miller, Sadie Sasser, Zachary Sasser. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Everett, Delbert, Cecil and Edward Colyer; five sisters, Flossie Nicholas, Helen Godsey, Frona Jones, Marie Shepherd and Edith Strunk. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 16th at the Oolitic Pentecostal Church with Bro. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 12:30 pm until the hour of service on Thursday, October 16th at the Oolitic Pentecostal Church.
