So sorry to hear this sad news.
My father Ed is Jim's younger brother, and I'm told that Jim had a protective nature towards my father in their youth that carried over into his career in policing.
I have just a handful of memories of Jim, all from 25-30 years ago, but I remember him as being kind and caring toward me as a child, and having humor.
To Jim's family and friends, I hope you find comfort in your memories of him.
To my uncle Jim, I regret that we did not know each other more closely. Thank you for helping my father. I hope you find comfort and rest. Chris Howell
