Obituary of Jane Stringer Robinson

Springville Jane Stringer Robinson, 81, of Springville, IN, passed away on October 26, 2004 at her residence. Born December 20, 1922 in Columbia, MS (Marian County), she was the daughter of William Jefferson and Frances Victoria Stringer. She retired from Indiana University in 1975 and was a member of Good Hope Church in Columbia, MS. Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Dale Phillips and her husband, William of Springville; three grandchildren, Jerome Hettle and his wife, Debbie of Bedford, Wesley Dale Phillips and his wife, Tina of Springville and Lisa Marie Hillenburg and her husband, Robin of Heltonville; six great grandchildren, Chad Lee and Dawn Marie Hillenburg, Daniel Curtis and Darren Wesley Phillips, Carla Renee Hettle and Colin Michael Crose; two sisters, Sue Word of Jackson, MS and Pearl Rayburn of Reseda, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Boe, Prentiss and Larkin Stringer; two sisters, Lillian Stringer and Holly Crawley. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 29th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
