Obituary of Olive Geneva Roberts

Bedford Olive Geneva (Brown) Roberts, daughter of Walter and Grace A. (Jones) Brown was born May 9, 1909 at Elkinsville (Brown Co.), IN. She departed this life on December 28, 2004 at the age of 95. She was united in marriage to Thomas Nelson Roberts on May 9, 1942 by Rev. Henry Skinner at Oolitic, IN. She is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, aunts and uncles. Olive graduated from Elkinsville Grade School and Nashville High School in Brown County and a two-year Elementary course from Central Normal College in Danville, IN. She taught school in the elementary grades for eleven years in Brown, Monroe, Greene and Lawrence Counties. She was a member of Indiana Retired Teachers Assoc. and taught junior and adult Sunday School classes. She was converted at the Elkinsville Church in April 1934. She was a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 31st at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church.
