Obituary of Carl David Robbins

Carl David Robbins Carl David Robbins, 67, of 791 Coxton Road, Bedford, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at his residence.Born February 7, 1941 in Lawrence Co., IN, he was the son of John F. and Nellie (Carter) Robbins. He married Margie Hawkins on September 29, 1967 and she survives. He retired as a lineman for Cinergy PSI after thirty years. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #654 and the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.Survivors include his wife, Margie, of Bedford; one son, Curtis D. Bennett and his wife, Tammie of Bedford; four daughters, Vickie J. and Tom Reynolds of Bedford; Paula J. Gaines and her husband, Jimmy of Mitchell; Julie Beth Knight of Orleans; Joyce Ann Hardwick of Springville; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Breedlove of Indianapolis and Georgia Roberts of Bedford; two brothers, John Robbins of Bedford and Earl Robbins of Bloomington and his best friend, Don (Bub) Owens of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 5th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Masonic Rites being conducted at 7:00 pm by members of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.
