Obituary of Ralph C. Ritchison
Bedford Ralph C. Ritchison, 60, of 2116 29th Street, Bedford, died at 2:05 am on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his residence.
Born July 14, 1943 in Bedford, he was the son of Edward and Eva (Walters) Ritchison. He first married Sonja Frizzel in 1961. Later he married Norma Davis on August 8, 1975 and she survives. He was an explosives technician for the Austin Powder Co. in Columbus, IN, a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Bedford; seven children, Kimberly Sayre of CA, Lisa French of Bedford, Christopher Taylor and his wife, SallyAnn of Fayetteville, Tommy Hughes and his wife, Laura of Needmore, Robin DeRosier and her husband, Mike of CA, Ellen Ritchison of Bedford, Eddie Ritchison and his wife, Melissa of Bedford; one brother, Vanie Ritchison and his wife, Bonnie of FL; his beloved dog, Barney; thirteen grandchildren, Jonathon Horton, Bridgette French, Meryl French, Christine Taylor, Jayme Sayre, Haley Butler, Charlie Hughes, Shayna Sayre, Amanda DeRosier, Sammy Ritchison, Andrew DeRosier, Reese Ritchison and Zachary Hughes; two nieces, LeeAnne Mansfield and Becky Pemberton; sister-in-law, Carolyn Duncan who was the widow of Frank Duncan; brother-in-law, Merle Davis and his wife, Georgette; sister-in-law, Sharon Davis; brother-in-law, Ricky Davis and his wife, Brenda; sister-in-law, Patty Walls and her husband, Richard; nephews, Levi Davis, Jimmy Davis, Duane Davis and Brett Dillman; nieces, Vanessa Ohart, Crystal Henderson, Terri Lynn Anthis, Lindy Blackwell, Victoria Perkins and Meghan Shuler; several great nieces and nephews, one aunt and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Vanie and Pearl Walters who raised him and one sister, Nancy Ritchison. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 30th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Breckenridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
