Tom was a good friend and band-mate all through our college years at ISU. (in The Travelers). He threw himself into everything he did with dedication and energy. He always rewarded a joke or a funny turn of phrase with that big, apple-cheeked grin that spread across his face. A dedicated musician and one of the truly good guys.

I believe this is the same Mr.Riley that was my first guitar teacher at the Conservatory of Music back in the 60's. His love for teaching the guitar to me and his overall influence on me as a child was tremendous. I still love and play the guitar, though not as well as he did, today at 57. This love for the instrument motivated me to start the KISS Army for the rock group KISS. Mr. Riley, your influence on me was far reaching and who knows where I'd be today without it? You are gone but never forgotten in the eyes of this former student. Rest in peace sir.

Janice, our prayers are with you and your family at this time. We are so sorry that Tom could not stay here and had to go, but know that he is in a special place now with God up above. We would have been there, but Sullivan County roads are closed and it would be too dangerous to try to come. We are thinking of you.

Our Dear Mr. Riley..you were truly one of a kind. You always had time for us when we were kids in school and as we became adults, you were our dear friend and your footprints will always remain in our hearts. You taught us to be true to ourselves and to stand for what we believed..you set us straight when we needed it and praised us when we succeeded..The world is going to be lonlier without you..We will remember all the good talks and will look forward to a time when we can sit and talk with you again...till that time, our friend..RIP Mr.Riley.

Mr. Riley is a man I never met. However, I feel as though I know him well, through numerous conversations with his daughter, Melissa. My friend and co-worker has spoken so highly and lovingly of her father. The pride she shows when speaking of this man is obvious. As a Navy man myself, I am sure I would have liked him very much as well. So, thank you Mr. Riley for being a dedicated father, teacher, and for serving our nation. You were a model many should follow in this day of lowered morals. Prayers of comfort for all of your friends and family left behind.

To Tom's family: Life's travels permit us the acquaintance of thousands; yet only a few become lasting friends. God has permitted the Riley/Owen/Warren family to become GREAT friends ... and now one of those friends has departed our circle. Thank you for sharing Tom's humor, his music and most of all, his fellowship in the kingdom of God with the Davis family. May God bless and keep you all richly in His everlasting arms. Mike and Nancy
