Obituary of David K. Fidler
Oolitic, David K. Fidler, 71, of 109 4th Street in Oolitic, died at 4:30 pm on Friday, January 28th at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born on September 10, 1933 in Indianapolis, he was the son of William Henry and Maxine Fidler. He married Dolores Cain in 1960 and she survives.
He retired from Ravenwood in Bedford and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving with the wife: Dolores of Oolitic, are one daughter: Linda Branham and her husband, Donnie of Heltonville; two grandchildren: Tandi Tipton and her husband, Les of Avoca; David Allen of Orleans; two step-grandchildren: Stacy Branham of Needmore and Brad Branham and his wife, Diana of Oolitic; seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1st and from 12:00 noon until time of service on Wednesday, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the grave by the American Legion Post #33.
